Medical Device Manufacturing Technician

Location: Dublin

Fixed Term Contract: 12 months

Description

Produce medical device components and products by carrying out assembly procedures, including packaging and shipping of product.

Share responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the manufacturing environment.

Provide support and feedback to the engineering development and role model for Continuous Improvement and GMP guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Work in cleanroom and non-cleanroom ESD environments to manufacture medical device product and components with and without the use of microscopes.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment.
  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs.
  • Maintain and upkeep manufacturing environments, tools and equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in procedures, design and general practices, and aid in implementation.
  • Liaise with engineering, troubleshooting through issues.
  • Engage with the FIRE1 QMS to ensure delivery of the overall quality strategy & support the achievement of the business quality objectives.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Leaving certificate
  • Cleanroom manufacturing experience
  • Medical device manufacturing experience
  • Problem-solver
  • Ability to self-start and take on responsibility

Desirable experience

  • Soldering
  • Lasering
  • Supporting medical device design and process development previously a huge advantage
