As a Manufacturing Production Assistant at FIRE1, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the manufacturing production line operates at optimal efficiency to produce high-quality medical devices. You will provide essential logistical, administrative, and maintenance support by managing inventory, maintaining cleanliness and compliance standards, and facilitating various operational processes. Your work will minimise downtime, support quality assurance, and sustain a clean, organised, and compliant production environment, ultimately contributing to the company’s mission of advancing patient care.
This role is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract basis, and reports to the Senior Line Lead.
Responsibilities
- Production Support:
- Preparing materials, running/assisting on production lines, packaging, and quality checks.
- Managing cleanroom and stockroom inventory
- Restock consumables and components to the cleanroom and gowning room per Kanban system
- Manage inventory and work with Buyer/Planner to ensure no stockouts
- Administrative Tasks: Management of production paperwork including initiating, printing, reconciling and closing lot history records for components and subassemblies, to maintain perfect traceability on all manufactured product.
- Conduct quality tests to support production builds, such as tensile testing of samples and tokens.
- Maintenance of our storerooms, stockout rooms, cabinets/presses and totes
- Minor facilities maintenance tasks such as filter checks, equipment checks, etc.
- Assist in production, packaging of product and/or peripheral builds as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols, cleaning, and general workplace tidiness.
Qualification & Experience
- QQI Level 5 Major Award, Apprenticeship or relevant experience in a detailed administrative role.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry experience, whether medical device, pharma or other similarly regulated.
- Exceptional organizational skills with respect to managing paperwork.
- Passion for cleanliness and maintaining an organized workspace.
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
- Self-motivated and proactive follow-up skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
