FIRE1 AWARDED 2 RED DOT DESIGN AWARDS

FIRE1 is the recipient of two prestigious Red Dot design awards for its NORMTM heart failure management system. The NORMTM system was recognized for outstanding achievements in the Red Dot Healthcare Product Design & Innovative Product categories.

FIRE1’s NORMTM is a breakthrough system for physician-directed patient self-management
of heart failure. NORMTM is an implantable medical device that measures volume by
detecting changes in the inferior vena cava (IVC) caused by very small changes in
intravascular volume, giving the clinician and patient advance warning of worsening heart failure and providing them with the time to makes changes to lifestyle and medication to prevent a decompensation.

Statement by the Red Dot Jury

“The NORMTM System represents a technological innovation for those living with heart failure, which also impresses due to its simple, futuristic design.”

“With its reliable technology and high-quality craftsmanship, the NORMTM Belt provides people living with heart failure with enhanced safety in everyday life.”

First Irish patient implanted with innovative heart failure management system from Irish Company FIRE1

DUBLIN–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Dublin-based FIRE1 today announced that the first Irish patient has been successfully implanted with its FIRE1™ System for remote heart failure monitoring. The innovative system has the potential to positively impact thousands of people living with heart failure in Ireland every year and alleviate the burden on hospital emergency rooms. The successful implantation took place at University Hospital Galway in the First in Human Clinical Investigation of the FIRE1 System in Heart Failure Patients (FUTURE-HF). The study will assess FIRE1’s novel solution to improve outcomes for those living with heart failure.
