FIRE1 is the recipient of two prestigious Red Dot design awards for its NORMTM heart failure management system. The NORMTM system was recognized for outstanding achievements in the Red Dot Healthcare Product Design & Innovative Product categories.
FIRE1’s NORMTM is a breakthrough system for physician-directed patient self-management of heart failure. NORMTM is an implantable medical device that measures volume by detecting changes in the inferior vena cava (IVC) caused by very small changes in intravascular volume, giving the clinician and patient advance warning of worsening heart failure and providing them with the time to makes changes to lifestyle and medication to prevent a decompensation.
Statement by the Red Dot Jury
“The NORMTM System represents a technological innovation for those living with heart failure, which also impresses due to its simple, futuristic design.”
“With its reliable technology and high-quality craftsmanship, the NORMTM Belt provides people living with heart failure with enhanced safety in everyday life.”
